Ainscough Crane Hire Ltd was formed in 1976 by Gerald Ainscough and his family and since then had been run by his sons Martin, James & Brendan, through constant acquisition the company became the UK's largest crane hirer.

In 2007 the company was bought by the existing management team ensuring the business could maintain it's market leading position.

The Ainscough Management Team

Neil Partridge - Managing Director
Neil joined Ainscough in 1995 as Financial Director, and prior to that had been involved in the Plant Hire industry for 14 years. In 2004 he was made Chief Operating Officer and then in 2007 headed the management buyout.
Peter Kernohan– Operations Director
Peter has 35 years experience in the Crane Hire Industry. He joined Ainscough in 1992 and after 13 years in Operations was appointed Operations Director in 2005.
Grant Mitchell - Sales Director South & Heavy Cranes Director
Grant joined the company in 2002 and has 32 years experience in the Crane Hire Industry overall, he also has a particular wealth of expertise in the heavy crane sector.
George Kesterton – Sales Director North
George joined Ainscough in 1992 and was soon made Sales Director, he has 25 years experience in the Crane Hire Industry as well as previous years experience in the construction and plant sectors.
Steve Cooke - Engineering Director
Steve joined the Board at Ainscough in 2000 when the company purchased the Initial GWS business, Steve's experience spans over 41 years within the manufacturing and crane hire industry .
Steve Hitchen - Heavy Cranes Operations Director
Steve joined Ainscough in 1993 and held the position of Regional Manager before being made up to Heavy Cranes Operations Director, prior to this Steve had worked in the Construction and Plant Industry for 10 years.
Bryan Cronie - SHE-Q & Training Director
Bryan recently joined Ainscough but has a wealth of experience in the crane hire industry spanning over 20 years, during this time he has continued to be very active with groups of CPCS & CPA (Crane Interest Group) on current day lifting standards.
