We are constantly making sure our fleet remains at the forefront of the industry. Each year we invest millions of pounds in new equipment, and all cranes we purchase are of the highest specification. This year has seen new investment in a number of heavy crawler cranes, from 300 to 1,250 tonnes capacity.

We also take great care to ensure our cranes are kept in the best possible condition – for serviceability and health and safety reasons. That means we invest heavily in maintenance and regular health and safety checks on our entire fleet.

Heavy Cranes

Ainscough Crane Hire operates the UK's largest fleet of heavy cranes; with mobiles up to 1000 tonnes and crawlers from 300 tonnes up to 1,250 tonnes.

Our Heavy Crane Division is strategically located in two prime positions: Leyland in Lancashire and Hayes in West London.  This means we can supply a truly national service, supported by our unrivalled national depot network.

Our heavy cranes team is the most experienced technical team in the industry and is on hand to give you all the advice you need.

We supply heavy cranes to:

• The rail industry
  We have extensive experience working with Network Rail and major contractors carrying out work such as bridge removal and construction, installation of rolling stock, overhead gantries and large track renewal projects. Ainscough Crane Hire Ltd employs over 200 PTS trained crane operators, lift supervisors and slinger/banksmen. We also hold the Audited Link Up certificate (click here to view certificate)
  
  
• The energy and petrochemical sectors
  We have worked on a number of projects in this field from large shutdown and maintenance to decommissioning and new build. We regularly work on all the major refineries in the UK.
  
  
• Turnkey projects
  We can supply a complete management service to carry out the full scope of works on lifting and re-location projects. Our experienced contracts team can fully project manage all aspects of your turnkey project including specialist transport services, road closures and traffic management; shipping and installation.
