This practical course explains the fixed-rate rescue equipment to recover a colleague who has become suspended by their fall protection equipment or to escape form a place of height. Suitable for all scenarios where the rescuer can operate from within a protected area*. The equipment and exercises covered are chosen to meet your individual requirements, and can include rooftops, ladders, vehicles, scaffolding or mobile platforms.

*This course does not provide certification in rope access techniques or in rescue from beyond protected area. Also see AATo4 Tower rescue.

Use of customer sites will be subject to an assessment. Delegate must be medically fit to perform the practical elements of this course and must sign a medical disclaimer to that effect.

    • Dealing with the casualty once recovered to a safe area
  2. Prerequisites

    • Valid qualification to work at height in the locations used during your training programme (e.g. rooftop or basic climbing certificate)
    • A suitable First Aid qualification is recommended for all persons performing workplace rescue
