MARINE CRANE HIRE

Ainscough provides marine cranes for temporary lifting operations across ports, harbours and other marine environments, with mobile, crawler and heavy crane options available. These services are designed for temporary lifting requirements rather than permanently installed ship, deck or harbour cranes.

Support can include planned crane hire, managed Contract Lifts, heavy and complex lifting, quayside operations, vessel lifting and recovery, port equipment installation and work in restricted-access marine environments.

With nationwide coverage and an extensive crane fleet, Ainscough can support marine projects of different scales, from individual lifting requirements to more complex operations requiring technical planning and coordinated delivery.

MARINE CRANE HIRE SERVICES

We can support requirements ranging from straightforward crane hire to managed Contract Lifts involving heavy or unusually shaped loads, complex lifting radii, tight project schedules and coordination with other contractors on site.

OUR MARINE CRANE HIRE PROCESS

For managed marine lifting projects, Ainscough follows a structured process that brings technical planning, access requirements and site coordination together. The exact support provided depends on the lifting operation and agreed service scope.

  1. Early Project Engagement: We work with your team to understand the load, programme, site access, quayside or harbour location, vessel requirements where relevant and other port activity that could affect the lift. Early engagement can be particularly valuable for heavy or complex operations.
  2. Lift Planning: Our technical teams can assess factors such as load weight, lifting radius, crane configuration, available setup space, surrounding infrastructure and access for mobilisation. Ground and quayside capacity remain subject to the relevant client or engineering arrangements.
  3. CAD Visualisation: For more complex lifts, CAD drawings can be developed to illustrate crane positioning, lifting radius and the planned lifting methodology.
  4. Logistics & Access Planning: Crane mobilisation, heavy haulage where required, quayside access, restricted operating areas and equipment movements can be coordinated around other activity taking place across the site.
  5. QHSE Compliance: Where Ainscough is responsible for the lifting operation, work is carried out within the agreed scope using established QHSE processes and Ainscough’s Make the Safe Choice approach, with reference to applicable lifting regulations and BS 7121 guidance.
