CONTRACT LIFT TEAM GO OVER AND ABOVE

Guildhall v3

Ainscough Crane Hire contract lift team receives high praise following successful completion of a complex lift for Benchmark Scaffolding and Skanska, at Guildhall, London.

Skanska’s contract to look after the fabric of the City of London Corporation’s buildings began in July 2017 and will last for five years.

Our team of crane operators and supervisors accompanied specialists from Benchmark Scaffolding and Skanska to install scaffolding for the cooling towers that feed the whole of the air circulation system at Guildhall.

Due to the scale of the operation, the site roads were closed to allow operators to carry out works safely and the road reopened and project completed ahead of schedule. During this tight timeframe, a specialist Liebherr 75t mobile crane and lift team was used to lift the scaffolding into place.

“Just letting you know I was mightily impressed with the team this morning,” said Michael O’Driscoll Project Manager, Skanska Building Services FM.

Barry Lane Operations Manager from Benchmark Scaffolding added “I would like to thank the team who attended Guildhall on Saturday, the team was ready by 8.15 am and waiting for our lorries to turn up! From the traffic management, to the crane crew and Banksman was a real credit to your company”

The lift team included; Appointed person/contract lift manager – Dave Smith, lift supervisor – Lea Price and slingers– David Prowse & Alfie Dann.

Mark James, Operations Director South, said: “We are happy to have been part of this contract and to be appointed by Benchmark Scaffolding & Skanska, contributing to a successful project. We look forward to working further with the team in future.”
