Forterra v 2 200120

Ainscough Crane Hire, the UK’s leading lifting solutions company, has been re-appointed by Forterra, one of the largest manufacturers of building products in the UK, as preferred supplier of cranes for their Bison Precast concrete operations for the next three years.
Forterra, headquartered in Northampton, creates bricks, blocks, precast concrete, paving, and many other vital products at its network of 18 manufacturing sites, making it one of the leading names in British building product manufacturing.
Over the next three years, Ainscough will continue to service Forterra customer sites across a variety of sectors – including commercial, residential and education – supported by Ainscough’s National Hire Centre in Leyland supplying up to 40 cranes a week.
Derek Gow, Commercial Director of Ainscough Crane Hire, said: “We’ve developed a close working relationship with the team at Forterra, and we’re very pleased to have been appointed as the company’s primary crane supplier for a further three years. The experience we’ve gained through working together, supplying over 2000 crane hires a year, means we know exactly how to safely fulfil their requirements by good planning and communication.
“Both organisations share the same commitment to safety and innovation, investing in our people and excellence in the built environment, and we look forward to further developing our relationship in the years ahead.”
Safety and customer service sits at the heart of Ainscough’s approach, with its Make the Safe Choice ethos representing its commitment to the safety of its people, customers and members of the public. Its approach is supported by approximately 150 four-tier audits a year. This rigorous system aids both the safety of Ainscough’s staff and that of clients such as Forterra.
Stephen Harrison, Chief Executive at Forterra, said: “Construction sites are synonymous with high-risk activities. Having safe, serviced and certified equipment is essential to Forterra and by using a reputable national supplier such as Ainscough, we have confidence that crane operators will arrive on-site with serviced equipment for maximum reliability to achieve our client’s installation dates.”
