VIDEO: AINSCOUGH COMPLETES LIFT AT INNOVATIVE ENVIRONMENTAL FACILITY

Ainscough Crane Hire has supported its client Capital Steel Structures in building key infrastructure at landmark new environmental facility.

EcoPark South is the first phase in North London Waste Authority’s plan to build a £1.2bn sustainable waste management hub at Edmonton EcoPark.

Leading construction firm Taylor Woodrow is delivering a flagship Resource Recovery Facility at EcoPark South with the capacity to manage 135,000 tonnes of recyclable material every year, as well as the first ever public Reuse and Recycling Centre at the site.

Caunton Engineering is fabricating, supplying and erecting 1,963t of steelwork for the project.

Ainscough was appointed by Capital Steel Structures – employed by Caunton – to supply all cranes for the first of the six main trusses that will form the roof of the Resource Recovery Facility.

This main truss was tandem lifted by 750t and 800t cranes before being braced and stabilised using 100t and 60t cranes.

The video of the first – of six – 74m span trusses being installed can be seen below:
