This practical based course enables workers to safely access conventional-design wind turbines using fixed vertical ladders and personal fall protection equipment, to evacuate from a wind turbine and perform ladder rescues using a fixed-rate decent device.
This syllabus delivers the Safe Working at Heights module of the Global Wind organisation ‘Basic Safety Training’ standard.
*Practices for rescue should be carried out at least annually and a refresher course must be undertaken within 2 years. The use of customer sites will be subject to an assessment and the audit requirements of GWO. Delegates must be medically fit to perform the practical elements of this course and must sign a medical disclaimer to that effect
