“I left school at 16 , detesting nearly every minute! I had gone to work with my Dad, who was a mechanic working for himself. From a very young age, I always wanted to be a mechanic and after leaving school had carried on working for my dad. I approached Ainscoughs to see if I could have some form of work experience of which they allowed me to gain essential work experience while I was studying at college, I must of made a good impression because they took me on full time in May 2014 as an apprentice mechanic at their Flagship Leyland depot.I thoroughly enjoy working for Ainscough’s because of the variation of vehicles and work that goes on being the biggest crane hire company in the UK and Leyland depot being their largest which is where their Heavy Cranes/Haulage division is based. I am currently learning more about the practical and theoretical parts of my job at Myerscough college on the construction plant maintenance and repair course. I think the training and teaching at the college is very good and is very professional, covering all aspects of my job and more.”
