AINSCOUGH CRANE HIRE COMMITMENT TO EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT RECOGNISED WITH GOLD MEMBERSHIP OF THE 5% CLUB

Ainscough Crane Hire has been awarded Gold accredited membership via The 5% Club’s 2023-24 Employer Audit Scheme. This award recognises the company’s significant contribution to the continued development of all its colleagues through “earn & learn” schemes such as apprenticeships and other training schemes.

The 5% Club offers an enhanced, prestigious level of membership awarded via its benchmarking programme, the Employer Audit. The Audit recognises the UK’s leading employers of apprentices, graduates and degree placement students – and provides invaluable benchmarking information for apprenticeship managers, graduate recruiters and senior management.

The Employer Audit provides each employer taking part in the research programme official accreditation as either a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum member of The 5% Club, along with an exclusive benchmarking research report analysing their latest employment and recruitment of ‘earn as you learn’ graduates, apprentices and trainees.

This annual process awards Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum memberships every autumn. One hundred and eighty Members have been recognised in the 2023-24 Employer Audit process.

Ainscough had previously been awarded the Silver membership.

Darren Thompson, HR Director, Ainscough Crane Hire said: “We’re delighted to have been awarded Gold membership of the 5% Club. At Ainscough we are committed to helping people develop sustainable careers while simultaneously helping to improve the long-term sustainability of our industry.

“We are proud to continue to be recognised as an inclusive organisation where people setting out in their careers can succeed. Looking ahead, we look forward to further investing in professional development and training initiatives to create the diverse and talented workforce of the future.”

Mark Cameron OBE, Chief Executive at The 5% Club said, “Now in its third year, we are delighted with the adoption and growth of this accessible scheme, by our Members and the wider employer community. We celebrate the achievement of all those awarded enhanced memberships, including the thirty-one who have met the Gold Standard since we launched the scheme in 2021, and who this year have more than 10% of their workforce in recognised “earn and learn” schemes. It’s inspired action such as this which is so essential to our national prosperity and the enduring resolution of the skills challenges.”

Gill Cronin, Director of Operations at The 5% Club added: “Having seen The Club grow to more than 920 members, I am always impressed at the commitment, drive, and energy our members channel into offering “earn and learn” skills opportunities. This scheme bestows important recognition on these companies and truly recognises the breadth and depth of their contribution to the future of skills in our economy.”
