Ainscough Crane Hire’s growth strategy has taken another step forward with the addition of a second Liebherr LTM1650-8.1 crane.
In April 2021, Ainscough unveiled the UK’s first-ever Liebherr LTM1650-8.1 crane as part of its wider investment programme. In just under a year, the crane has proved itself a vital addition to Ainscough’s fleet, and has been instrumental in the safe and efficient delivery of heavy lifts at infrastructure and other large-scale projects across the country.
As a result, Ainscough has ordered a second model of the crane, with it arriving at the company’s Leyland headquarters earlier this month.
The crane is capable of lifting 15-20% more capacity than its predecessor – the LTM 1500-8.1 – and is designed to save fuel and reduce noise, enabled by its ‘Stage V’, engine and ECOdrive, and ECOmode capabilities.

It has surpassed our expectations to such an extent that we have decided to invest in a further model in order to ensure more of our lifting operations across the country feel the benefit of this brilliant, environmentally friendly crane.”

The new arrival is part of a crane investment programme entailing 37 new additions to Ainscough’s fleet, including the LTM1040-2.1, LTM1060-3.1, LTM1090-4.2, LTM1110-5.1 and LTM1230-5.1.
