ALUMINIUM SILO HOMEWARD BOUND FOLLOWING AINSCOUGH CRANE HIRE LIFT FOR BARTON FABRICATIONS

Ainscough Crane Hire’s Bristol depot recently worked with Barton Fabrications to support a manufacturing plant upgrade for a leading supplier of domestic goods.

Barton Fabrications manufactures aluminium storage silos that enable contamination-free storage for a range of sectors including food, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices, and specialist plastics.

The company was enlisted by a leading homeware supplier to help support a plastics manufacturing plant upgrade.

Ainscough was hired to lift a silo at Barton Fabrication’s Portishead base that contained polypropylene granules onto a silo truck. Upon the successful completion of the lift, the silo was then transported to a manufacturing site in the North of England.

The silo is one of four, and they will remain in storage until they are required in the plastic product manufacturing process.

In order to complete the work, Ainscough’s operator Mark Pearson utilised a 90t crane.

Sarah Roberts, assistant manager of Ainscough’s Bristol depot, said: “The work Barton Fabrications does in helping businesses from a range of industries ensure the integrity of their products through storage in aluminium silos is hugely impressive. We were really happy to support this project – it’s always a pleasure for us to work with another local business and help their products be utilised across the country.”
