Armed Forces careers fair gets a lift from Ainscough Crane Hire

On Thursday 15 September, Ainscough Crane Hire was present as the British Forces Resettlement Service (BFRS) hosted an Armed Forces careers fair in Tidworth.

The event attracted over 600 members of the Armed Forces community and 90+ exhibitors, a tremendous success for recruiters and prospective applicants.

BFRS work to serve the Armed Forces community by supporting them in their transition into employment outside of the military, working as a focal point and liaison with forces-friendly employers.

Ainscough Crane Hire was present on the day with representatives from different areas of the business. Tony Arnold (Southampton Depot Manager), Sharon Fisher (Training) and Lyndsay Bamber (Recruitment) supported the event stand.

The Ainscough stand proved a popular attraction with a ‘Win the Crane’ competition open to anyone willing to find out more about the careers on offer.

Lyndsay Bamber, Recruitment Advisor, said: “Throughout the event, we spoke to a large number of attendees, some of whom had travelled specifically to speak to us. We took the details of more than 50 people who are actively looking to work for us.”

“It was fantastic to see so many of our Armed Forces personnel planning for their future with a wide range of employers. We have a strong record of providing career opportunities to the Armed Forces and have been recognised with a Silver Award as part of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant.”
